After being behind the camera for many years, I felt I needed to have my Beau Visage portrait taken with my niece and soul mate, Jalyn Webb, to show the connection we have had from the time she was a teenager. I felt a Beau Visage Signature canvas would best capture us as we truly are with its close-up format that highlights faces and expressions, and lets the subject’s feelings show through. As we both prepared for this experience, I knew I wanted us in a quiet, gentle color that would symbolize the peaceful and relaxed times that we share together. I chose the color white to fulfill this role. I also used as many curvy lines as I could as they represent our feminine side. However, at certain times when we are together, there is a dynamic synergy that happens. At these moments, we are on top of the world and nothing can stop us. We talk, dream, plan the future, play, pamper ourselves, and of course, shop! The fiery red background color represents this part of our relationship. In the midst of our time together, we also find time to put our heads together to come up with new marketing ideas for Walden’s; this is truly a case where two heads are better than one! Jalyn lives in Colorado (a world away), but through this portrait, I can feel her presence in my daily life and take comfort in thinking about my next visit to Colorado or her next one here to Kentucky. I count myself blessed to have found this special person in my life, and I am so pleased that my Beau Visage portrait captured the story of our lives and what we mean to each other!
