From My Heart…

As a child, I was always drawn to light, color and all things beautiful. Now, as a grown woman, I am no different. I love the way sunlight dapples on the ground or creates such a peaceful and warm glow at sunset. Colors intrigue me as I play with combinations that create different feelings and moods, always experimenting and pushing boundries. Beauty, whether  in a subject’s face, a mom’s gentle hands caressing a child or my summer rose garden,  speaks to my heart as I try to capture its elusive nature in my paintings.

As an artist, I believe success lies in my heart and my ability to catch your vision. In each image I work on, a deposit from my heart remains, silently speaking of my love of what I do. After I finish each piece, it is carefully hand-stretched on art canvas. Upon completion, I proudly add my signature through the crown emblem,  signifying it is an original Beau Visage piece and that it has my stamp of acceptance.

Words cannot express the depth of a Beau Visage piece; it must be experienced!

Things That Stir My Heart (and make me glad I’m alive)…

  • The vivid green moss on brown rocks in Mt Hood, Oregon
  • The beauty of clouds as they change shapes and scurry across the sky
  • Swinging on the back porch with my family and talking about nothing and everything
  • Feeling the breeze on a warm, summer night and thinking the air feels like velvet
  • The excitement that wells up inside when I connect with others like me
  • A  great idea popping into my head in the middle of the night
  • Dreaming of a future with big ideas
  • Being creative and seeing an artistic piece come to life
  • The sound of bagpipes as it floats through the air
  • Understanding how small we really are as we look at a star-filled night sky
  • The jitters in my stomach when I am being intensely creative
  • Seeing ducks fly in formation at sunset and hearing them speak to each other
  • Looking up at an utterly astounding blue sky
  • The smell of “real” home-grown roses as you walk past them
  • The taste of a garden tomato, freshly picked and still warm

In reading this list, it is my hope that you will be encouraged to stop long enough in this busy life to appreciate each and every moment and write your own list of “Things that stir your heart”!
