The Journey
This is NOT just a session.
It is an experience where your family is seen, guided, styled, and celebrated — and where the result is not simply a photograph, but a piece of art that will live in your home and in your family story for generations.
Step One
The Design Appointment
This is where the vision begins.
We sit down together and talk about what you love — your home, your children and the season of life you are in.
The question we often ask; “If this portrait were a chapter in your life, what would the headline be?”
We’ll discuss:
Where your portraits will live
The feeling you want every time you walk past them
Wardrobe and styling direction
The overall look and tone of your session
Step Two
Styling
What to wear should never be the thing that stops you.
Whether you’re planning a family portrait, The Black Dress Experience, or a milestone session of your child, we guide every detail.
And when you walk into the studio prepared, you relax.

Step Three
The Portrait Session
This is where it all comes together.
As you enter the studio, all is calm. Unhurried. We are ready for you.
You are guided every step of the way. We watch for personal body language and interaction with a daughter or a son, how siblings react to what is going on, and we often see a quiet glance between parents as they share a thought.
Children are never rushed. Parents are never left wondering what to do.
What surprises most families is how enjoyable and natural it feels.
Years later, many tell us:
“I didn’t realize that day would become one of my favorite memories.”
Step Four
The Artist’s Eye
Long before you return for your selections, Tim begins the true artistic work.
He spends hours studying your portraits — not simply choosing favorites, but discerning which images carry the strongest composition, emotion, and best tells the story you shared with us.
Every selection is filtered through both his artistic eye and the conversations we’ve had about your home, your style, and what you want these portraits to represent.
This time spent together is NEVER a presentation of hundreds of images.
It is a curated presentation.
Tim selects his choices based on previous converstaions and designs them into a well thought out plan specifically for your home.
Using our special system, you will see your portraits virtually. displayed on your actual walls — proportioned, placed, and refined with precision.
Together we finalize:
The selections
Exact sizing and layout
Museum-quality finishes and framing
It is the completion of an artistic process — where vision, expertise, and your family’s story come together as lasting art.
Step Five
Creation & Craftsmanship
Once your selections are finalized, your portraits enter the creation phase where each image is produced using the finest archival materials available: museum-quality papers, archival inks, and finishes designed to endure for generations.
Framing is chosen and crafted with equal care, reflecting both your home and the vision Tim established for your family’s legacy.
These are not temporary prints or fleeting images; they are heirloom pieces, designed to outlast trends, move with time, and continue to inspire long after the day they are created.
Before anything leaves the studio, every print and frame is carefully inspected. Only when it meets our highest standards of quality and artistry does it make its way to your home — ready to be cherished for decades to come.
We are print artists.
Step Six
Installation
When your wall portraits are ready, we handle the installation.
From precise placement to professional installation, we ensure your artwork is displayed exactly as designed.
There is something powerful about seeing your family on the walls of your home —
not hidden in a phone, not lost in a file.
This is where the experience becomes a permanent memory.
Your home transforms, subtly but powerfully, into a gallery of what matters most.
And that is the true completion of the journey.
Step Seven
The Legacy Continues
Portraiture is not meant to be a single moment. One and done…
It is a record of chapters — of children growing and seasons quietly changing.
Once you become part of the Walden family, we help you think beyond one session. Together, we consider what the next milestone may be — a new age, a graduation, a family change — and how your walls can continue to tell your story.
Many of our clients return year after year, building a visual legacy that becomes part of their home’s identity.
Because the most common regret we hear is not that families did too many portraits.
It’s that they waited.
And life moved forward. Not stopping. Not slowing down.
We are here to ensure it is remembered.
Portraits of your children (and yourselves) through all of the important times of life is a reflection of who they are and allows them to look back on your family's history.
It is our pleasure and honor to create this retrospective timeline for your family to enjoy for years to come.
