Beyond Childhood
Lately, we’ve been thinking a lot about our own family—our two grown daughters, their loved ones and the way time somehow picked up speed when we weren’t looking, and how we now treasure every moment together more than ever as they are more scarce with jobs and careers.
When we gather—at church on Sundays, laughing in the kitchen, catching up on life, slipping right back into our familiar rhythm—we’re reminded why these moments matter so deeply.
They feel different now… richer, sweeter, fleeting in their own way.
And as often as we can gather everyone together, we find ourselves grateful for the portraits that reflect our family’s story.
It makes us wonder:
Why do family portraits so often stop at age five… or after high school senior portraits?
Who decided the camera gets put away once the kids become adults?
Why not celebrate every chapter? Every age? Every season?
Because grown children—whether they’re 20, 30, or 40—are still the heart of the family.
And the relationships only grow more layered and meaningful with time.
All ages are a treasure worth remembering.
All seasons deserve to be seen, honored, and lived forever on your walls.
This year, we’re leaning into that truth even more.
Time doesn’t slow down—but portraits help us hold on to what matters most.
Our two daughters…
